An alert has been issued by officials attempting to locate a Long Island teenager who has been missing for more than six months.
The National Center for Missing & Exploited Children released a photo of Hannah Smith, who is now 17, who has been missing out of Stony Brook since December, 2019.
According to officials, Simpson was last seen on Wednesday, Dec. 4 last year. She was described as being approximately 5-foot-2, weighing 125 pounds with brown hair and brown eyes.
Anyone with information regarding her whereabouts has been asked to contact the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children by calling 1-800-843-5678 or the Suffolk County Police Department at (631) 852-2677.
